The cost of living spiralling out of control increases the pressure on Food Banks. Added to these pressures the school holidays are drawing closer and during this period some children will not be getting one solid meal a day.
Currently St. Nicholas Church only receives donations during service times on Sundays and Wednesdays, and normally this is from our own
congregation. But unfortunately this does not provide regular donations to the Food Bank.
Barton-le-Clay was very generous with the Mid Beds Ukraine Appeal, so to try and increase our contributions we would like to open up the Luton Food Bank Appeal to the whole village.
We are now making St. Nicholas Church Hall a drop off point for food donations on Wednesdays from 10.00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
