Dear Friends,
For me, June is the month when summer really begins. The Derby is run at Epsom. Trooping the colour takes place in central London at Horse Guards. Test Cricket is played at Lords whilst Tennis is played at Wimbledon
In June, the Church begins the Trinity Season, which takes us through the accounts of Jesus’ life and teaching found in the Gospels of Mathew, Mark, and Luke. Through reading them, we discover what God is like. For, as St. Paul says in his letter to the Colossians, Jesus is the image of the invisible God, who we do not see, whilst, the Holy Spirit who lives within each of us, reminds us of what he said and did, by making him just as real to us, as he was to the first Disciples.
So, as the evenings start to get longer and the Sporting events of the summer take place, take time out to ponder on the nature of God and to thank him for sending Jesus to us, who through his death and resurrection shows us just how much God loves us.
God bless you all.
Andrew
