The Rector’s New year letter

Dear Friends,

In January, the church celebrates the Feast of Epiphany when the Wise Men bring gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense to the Baby Jesus. The Feast is also known as “the manifestation of the Christ child to the Gentiles”.  This is because in Jesus, God was doing something completely new and different to anything that had gone before. As a result of having faith in Jesus, everyone, no matter what their background, ethnicity or religion was, now had a chance to have their lives transformed by God’s love for them, both in this life and in the next. That includes you and I. Having our lives transformed by God’s ongoing and never-ending love for us is good news at the start of a new year.

A Happy New Year to you all!

God bless,

Andrew
