Christmas Tree Festival planning

We are planning to hold this year’s Christmas Tree Festival on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December at St Nicholas Church and Church Hall.
Individuals, families, schools, groups and businesses are invited to enter a Christmas tree. You can decorate your tree to illustrate a theme of your choice, include lights and use either a natural or artificial tree up to 1.5m (5 foot) tall.

Because of regulations connected with the Covid 19 epidemic, which may change, we are unable to give further details of the festival at present. We shall be reducing the number of trees to 36 displayed in the church and hall and an additional 4 outside. If you would like to enter a tree do let us know by 30th September

The first 40 entries will be accepted. It would also be helpful if you would let us know if you decide not to enter a tree this year.

Further details will be sent in October to those entering and we are happy to provide further information.

Arrangements will be made for the trees to be brought and decorated on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th December during the daytime and evenings, allowing for social distancing.

We hope it will be possible to run this enjoyable community event. We do want to reassure you that work preparing for trees will not be wasted, as the festival will go ahead in one form or another. Offers of help during the festival would be very much appreciated. If you are able to help, even for just an hour, please make contact by email or telephone.
